LETTER FROM THE EDITORS
A new year is synonymous with a new beginning, and Method Magazine has always adapted to creative innovation. Since its formation in 2009, Method has been a platform for the Wesleyan community. While it has always done it’s best to promote the arts and the culture of the full Wesleyan campus, the publication never tried to hide its past struggle with ensuring that all voices on campus had a platform to be heard - an issue that Method Magazine has ceaselessly worked on over the years. However, sometimes the best solution is a fresh start.
As co-Editors in Chief this year, we are now compelled to make a decision in the best interest of Method’s Magazine’s longevity. To overcome past hurdles while keeping the intentions and identity of the magazine, we are thrilled to announce with anticipation that Method Magazine will be merging with the Wesleyan Artifex as of this semester. From now on, we will become “Method”, an arts-and-culture-focused subsection of the Artifex. Keeping our name and mission statement, we will continue to represent our peers in their creative endeavors with the passion and dedication the magazine was built on.
Our focus will be on joining forces with the Artifex to provide inclusive and thoughtful creative content that speaks to the full Wesleyan community. While honoring our history, we look forward to the future and hope you are as excited as we are for the ride ahead.
