Ever hear of Conor and Tyler Byrne? If the answer is "no," well that's okay, because I'm here to give you the much needed info that you didn't even know you needed.
First off, they're Wes alums- Tyler is '08 and Conor is '10. And, if you couldn't tell from their shared last name, they are brothers. Wesleyan alum brothers who do film, and are damn good at it. Both majored in Film Studies here and each made a thesis film that demonstrates their even-younger-than-they-are-now talent. Watch both below:
Now, they have a production company called Brudder Films and this is how they describe themselves:
"We became Brudders when Tyler was 2 and Conor was born. We were reared in the wilds of suburban Jersey, studied film at Wesleyan, and nowadays we make movies together across The George in NYC. Tyler recently co-produced BLUE RUIN, which played at Cannes, TIFF and Sundance, and is being released theatrically by RADiUS-TWC. Conor is a National Board of Review grant awardee, a selection of the 2014 SHOOT New Directors Showcase, and the winner of a 2014 Cannes Lions Young Director Award. "
This Thursday (11/6), at 8 PM, Conor and Tyler Byrne are coming to the Goldsmith Cinema for a screening of their newest short, "Four Eyes," followed by a Q&A session.
This year, "Four Eyes," was a Vimeo staff pick and was a Vimeo Short of the Week. If you can't make it to the big screen this Thursday, ugh come on, but also do yourself a favor and watch it here:
